It is always been a matter of discussion now a days in all medical cercles. The quality of doctors coming out of medical school. The deterioration started around two decades ago when 3 years PG started and house job( jr resident) lost its value.Earlier it used to be the house job- let us call it a practical training - which used to carry more weight .If HOD was convinced about the ability of candidate he used to be offered /enrolled a PG seat.So doctors after completing their education MBBS used to work hard in the ward and learnt the practical aspects of patient managment.
Their were certain bias - which forced the many young doctors to go to court and lots of litigation were there.The result Supreme court came out with PG entrance examination.Here MCI failed in its duty to suggest a remedy to the supreme court.
