Medical representatives meet the doctors to promote their brands of medicine. Sometimes they may even offer inducements like gifts, cash, sponsorships etc to doctors. But MCI has barred doctors from prescribing brand names and receiving gifts and inducements from pharma. Now the important questions are : Has the job of a medical representative made obsolete by MCI code of ethics?
