A large group of patients present to us at an advanced stage with foul smelling wounds often fungating and necrotic.Often these are patients are those who have neglected their disease or treatment has been delayed due to some reasons. The foul unpleasant smell makes them socially isolated and even when they are admitted to a ward. They become a source of agony for other patients.
How can we treat such foul smell? (apart from dressing and antibiotics) Is there any product/medicine/etc available in the market which can unmask/cover these smells?
