It's clinical case seen many years back. A girl aged 10 years came to me one evening with history recurrent pain abdomen with her father who also carried a fat file containing many prescriptions and a plethora of investigation reports from many big named doctors and big hospitals. I saw and scrutinized everything and asked about frequency and nature of pain abdomen and about vomiting. I didn't examine much the patient as everything was there in the file.
I just prescribed medicines for migraine and told come after one or two months after only if she gets relief or else don't come. Patient did comeback as she got relief and I advised her to take the medicines for six months. After six months she came and I advised her to stop medicines and if there is recurrence then only visit me in future. She and her father came to me 10 years after with an invitation card of his daughter's marriage.…
