A 43-year-old male patient complained about the mobility of the lower front teeth. He was experiencing this for two years. There was a history of trauma two years back due to which the lower front teeth became mobile. On general examination, he was suspected to be anemic. There was difficulty in mouth opening, swallowing, and ulcers were present in the mouth with pigmentation on the tongue. Ulcers were recurrent for the past one year. Iron deficiency anemia was confirmed with further lab tests.
Subsequent radiograph examination was done (consisting barium swallow test) which showed the constricted esophagus. A smooth narrowing was noted in the lateral aspect of cervical esophagus. What could be the possible diagnosis? And how will you treat it? *This patient case is from Docplexus Editorial Team for educative purpose only. Source: Case Reports in Dentistry.
