Doctors study basic medicine in initial 4 years of graduation and a year of internship in government medical set up and then after that opt for specialization in various fields like internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, neurology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, dermatology, etc., which again takes another 3 years of investment. The job does not end here, they must go through several pieces of training and courses to get the practicing license and renew it periodically.
