In my lab practice of last 14 years, I received many samples for evaluation of Corynebacterium dephtheriae and to my surprise they come positive. It is one of the disease which is preventable. A strict  action of corrections may be required in National Immunisation Programme (NIP), so this coverage is more and efficient.

Only HIV, HCV & TB is not only the area of prevention. Does the NIP is effective? Does policy of NIP need to be reviwed ?
