In India where the mothers at times are suffering out of less milk secretion and rarely it is corrected. Since today being the world Breast feeding week beginning, I am sharing my experience in this record. Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) is available in India and also preparations containing only the dried powder is available. Since it is a natural product with single root, it was tried in ten patients with very less secretion of breast milk. The drug which is granular needs to be made as a powder by mixer and then to be mixed with hot milk and the preparation will be tasty.
Other wise it will not be tasty.There is no side effect noted. The results are excellent with a good amount of milk secretion. In spite of it is a natural product.
