Doctors are engaged in central and state government services both as a permanent and temporary or contractual basis. When the remuneration is increased for permanent people automatically increase in remuneration like as in pay commission changes are made even retrospectively. The temporary people also get the benefit as in the case of senior residents- even if it is one year or three years with all the yearly increase of salary namely increments including maternity benefits, leave benefits.

Unfortunately, the poor contract specialists are not given any benefit except like daily wagers or labourers and no holiday for extra and if put on leave, reduction in remuneration for that day, except in ECHS services. Even if there is a revision of remuneration after ten years after so much representation by the contractural specialists of high caliber, cannot be given for already working people.…
