A special investigation team (SIT) investigating alleged NEET-linked MBBS admissions through forged freedom-fighter dependent certificates in Uttarakhand has made its first arrests, taking two men into custody in Dehradun. The investigation centers on an alleged admission network in which MBBS seats were reportedly arranged under the quota using forged documentation. One of the arrested men allegedly operated an admission consultancy in Meerut that claimed to facilitate admissions across multiple fields, including medical science, engineering, biotechnology and mass communication.
