The standard of care for oral cavity cancer at present consists of surgical resection followed by adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy as needed. Despite recent advancements, the overall prognosis remains guarded. Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy (NACT) shrinks the size of oral cancer lesions, thus making their resection easier. This intervention also allows mandibular reservation, thereby sparing function. Therefore, NACT has promising outcomes for patients with oral cavity cancers.
