Two new molecules brodalumab and secukinumab showed promise in treating psoriasis and a related condition called psoriatic arthritis in comparison with present treatment options. Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune skin disorder of relapsing nature with a strong genetic basis. In general, the disease is characterized by erythematous papules and plaques with a silver scaling, but other forms of presentation may also occur.
