Good news for diabetologists and diabetes patients. A new practical tool to identify patients at high risk for hypoglycemic emergency has been developed in partnership with the FDA as part of the Safe Use Initiative. This tool uses only 6 inputs from patient data, completely expense-free and does not require patient contact. The article discusses about this efficient, low-cost tool which helps to target interventions for patients having high risk for hypoglycemic emergencies.
