Scientists have developed a digital soft wearable   stethoscope (SWS) based on flexible mechanics that can remotely auscultate real-time cardiorespiratory sounds and perform automated disease phenotypic classification based on   machine learning . The SWS has shown better accuracy and efficacy than the conventional stethoscope in evaluating patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and cardiovascular diseases (CVD).
