Allahabad high court has directed the bureaucrats in home and health department to ensure that doctors submit computerized reports along with a handwritten copy in cases related to legal justice. The court has observed that several unreadable medico legal reports needed repeated summoning of doctors. The typed report must be signed by the doctor or authorized person after comparing it with the original report. This report will be a part of the police report when the investigation in the matter is to be closed.

Doctors are not recording medico legal and postmortem reports in clear handwriting and to decipher these reports court has to summon the doctors repeatedly.
