Obesity can lead to a plethora of conditions resulting in chronic inflammation. Additionally, obese people are pre-disposed to metabolic conditions like gallstones, chronic ulcerative colitis, and hepatitis. In the longer run, these conditions may cause DNA damage, ultimately resulting in cancer. The etiology of cancer in obese individuals may vary from hormonal variations like excess estrogen to altered insulin, cytokine, or growth factor levels. The management of obesity-related cancer can, therefore, be challenging. To gain expert insights in this regard, Docplexus has organized an interactive webinar in association with the Center for Metabolic Sciences on 7 th August 2020, 4 PM onwards .
