AN OPEN LETTER BY A MOSQUITO TO THE W.H.O. To Dr Mariam Shakila, Chairman, World Health Organization, Geneva Dear Madam, As President of our society, I thank you for allotting one day of every year for us as World Mosquito Day. On this happy occasion, I wish to put forth the following demands on behalf of all the mosquitoes of the world to all humans, whom we consider as “Blood Relatives”. 1 First we request you to please allot one day of the year each for our colleagues the Bedbug, the Flea as well as for Ticks and Mites.
So there should be one World Bedbug day, World Ticks and Mites Day and a World Flea Day. We do not demand the same for the louse because every day you keep saying “It is a Lousy Day”.. 2 Please withdraw all your attempts at controlling our population. We mosquitoes have been on this earth for >200 million years while Homo sapiens have come to the earth only about 1…
