i have a 50 yearold female lean non diabetic non hypertensive who underwent Aortic valve replacement 8yrs ago.I face two problems.1) Target INR not achieved in spite of increasing the dose of acitrom from 2mg to 10 mg.2) even before increasing the dose she develops ecchymosis all over the body.INR always less than 2.Her other medicine includes only Iron caps.HER renal and hepatic, Thyroid profiles are normal.Her recent ECHO also normal. NB: i have also advised the diets to be avoided.
INR is monthly done in a std.lab only. Pt's dietary and drug compliance i can assure you100% since i am seeing the pt.monthly for many years.Kindly contribute your suggestions
