A 33-year-old woman presented with a 4-day history of fever and abdominal pain, 7 days after undergoing cesarean surgery. Examination She had diffuse erythroderma and BP was 85/48 mmHg. Laboratory findings revealed elevated creatinine and liver-enzyme levels. Specimens of urine samples from the vagina were positive for Staphylococcus aureus .
