Another incidence was added to the growing violence against doctors when doctors at a trauma center in Varanasi were allegedly assaulted by the students of the same university early this week. As a protest to this incident, senior and junior resident doctors are on a strike that has paralyzed the patient services at the hospital The incident goes back to Tuesday when a bike accident occurred near the hospital premises. Reportedly, an attendant of a patient was hit by a student of that hospital and his outsider friend on a bike.
The injured attendant and the bikers were brought to the emergency of the trauma center, where the Medical officer on duty, informed that this being a Road Traffic Accident (RTA) has to be reported to the police as a Medico Legal Case (MLC).
