For infertility causes among men, it is asthenospermia that plays one of the important roles. The asthenospermia is one in which more than 50% of sperms are not having good motility. The treatment for this condition is one of difficult situation in medical science. In 1989, a literature carrying an indication for pentoxifylline shows that it is useful in asthenospermia. Pentoxifylline in a dose of 250 mg thrice daily for six months helps to improve the asthenospermia.
