A pt having bite of rat in his rt ring finger, slight blood oozing out. Is post exposure prophylaxis indicated in case of rat bite?
As rabies is 100% fatal and rat is a mammal can we initiate post exposure prophylaxis in view of above? Is rat can be considered as a rabid animal?
