About 2 yrs ago dpt and ipv was given at 6 weeks of age to a normal born male baby.fever didnt subside fr 1 wk.so was revaluated.liver and spleen 5 to 6 cm.firm.livedo reticularis all over.t 104.empirically higher antibiotics were instituted.x 5 days.condition worsned.hb fell from 10 to 9.platelet from 1.4 to 1.hsm enlarged.typhoid.malaria.bl c/S -ve.wt was falling.consultd other pediatrician .was kept on amikacin and artesunatex 5 days.no improvement so reconsultd me .condition was critical.hsm 8 to 10 cm.t 104 &above.plt and hb furthr fell.ps no abnormal cells.all cultrs -ve.no lymphadenopathy.i guessed a deadly dis so refused to investigate at this stage and refrd to higher centre.was treated their by several topmost antibiotics.antivirals and antifungalsx 1 wk but in vain.reverted back to me and requested to invest .anyhow i wrote 5 tests.all results came +ve. i thus diagnosed a…
