The National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi, in its General Body meeting held on 14 June 2023 decided that all the pre and paraclinical teachers will see patients in the out-patient department of various medical colleges besides doing their present duties. This decision was long awaited to utilise the already available resources of patient care for the benefit of people at large, which will also help in improving the patient- doctor ratio in the country where we are defaulting as per WHO standards.
