Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is the most common vaginal syndrome affecting women worldwide. The management of BV mainly involves oral antibiotics but is often associated with high rates of failure and recurrences because of its association with several complications.
Although recent evidence demonstrates safety and efficacy of oral probiotics in preventing recurrence of BV and improving patient outcomes, their use as a complementary approach with antibiotics for the treatment of BV remains unclear. In this regard, we would like to know your views about prescribing probiotics in BV.
