Pyogenic liver abscesses are uncommon that presents diagnostic as well as therapeutic challenges, if left untreated proved as a fatal.its more common in 4 to 6th decade of life and more common in males and in immunocompromised patients. Causes for pyogenic liver abscess are 1.billiary diseases 20 to 30% of cases,extrahepatic billiary obstruction leads to ascending cholingitis and abscess formation and after billiary-enteric anastomosis. 2.portal pyaemia still its counts for 20% of cases,after liberal use of antibiotics,chances through this route on decreasing trend.
