Government (Meaning Parliament) seems to be so concerned about THE QUALITY OF MEDICAL EDUCATION. Parliament should pass The Quality of Medical Education Act. As India does not put the burden of qualifying to practice in different states, so whole nation is being treated like a state already. So I am suggesting the following points- 1. Have a National Board Examination for each subject in medicine by internet based testing centres; e.g.
Anatomy should have two (2) examinations I and II, each part will be considered as a separate examination with different portions of syllabus being covered under each examination. Each examination will contain 150 objective type questions and the duration of the examination will be three hours (180 minutes). 2.
