For a human rights campaigner like myself, it was specially heartening to note the very recent stand that has been taken by the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin against institutionalized racist practices that Indian medical practitioners in the United Kingdom have to experience day in and out. The Association's leaders, Dr.Ramesh Mehta and Dr.Sabyasachi Sarkar deserve to be warmly complimented for finally taking up cudgels and demand ameliorative measures.
