One young patient aged 26 was watching a fight between two rival groups in Midnapore Dost of West Bengal when suddenly an Arrow pierced his right side of the chest. He was admitted at 2 am next day. X-ray of chest showed the arrow in right atrium in lateral view since Emergency Cardiopulmonary set was not available at that time I decided to operate using Right Thoracotomy (1989) At about 2.30 pm patient was operated under GA. Right Thoracotomy was done. There was small haemothorax. The pericardium was cut open and there was small haemopericardium.

The arrow tip was in the right atrium. I put two large purse strings around the arrow outside. Then I made a large incision over the right atrium and tried to pull out the arrow.
