Shocking, but true. In a goosebump giving incident, hordes of dead bodies were found lying and decaying in an open pit outside Kerala’s renowned medical college. An investigation has revealed that about 30 dead bodies were found in a one acre plot of medical college causing concern among local people. These bodies belonged to the anatomy department of the said medical college.
According to Corporation Health Officer, “The dead bodies had been immersed in formalin and the pit was left uncovered so that the sunlight would help in decaying the bodies faster. But then, it was an irresponsible thing to do.” Expressing strong resentment over the issue, local people and MLA representing the locality took up the issue with the college authorities.
