Fake publications are in abundance in India, suddenly as it was made compulsory requirement by the MCI for promotions in  medical colleges. This has led to a rat race. With  cropping of fake journals  and fakes  churning out research papers like an industry now.

Our international standing will only go down and we would become suspects  with  trash corrupting scientific data. Should the MCI demand research publications as a pre requisite for the teachers in medical colleges?
