Being in medical practice for more than 20 years (as a General practitioner), I have a big flow of patient irrespective of the season. At times, I feel doing injustice to my patients when I am unable to allot required time per patient due to heavy flow. Seeing patients by appointment only is out of question  where I practice and is not a solution.

Instead I would like to restrict my practice to my old patients who have full trust in me and whom I have been seeing since many years, basically being a family doctor to them. Can I legally restrict my practice that way? I am ready to see other patients who come to me as a medical emergency( as one time consultation).
