The invasive nature of resective or transplant surgeries requires skills. In liver transplants, split or complete resective procedures were either opted in conventional open surgical approaches or laparoscopic approaches. Each method had its drawbacks and limitations pertaining to the amount of invasion and access.
The Robotic Liver Resection (RLR) approach is the least invasive but has its disadvantages, including prolonged procedure length, cost incurred, and the inadequacy of skills and equipment. As part of our 8th-anniversary celebration series, Dr. S Sudhindran, an illustrious organ transplant surgeon from Kerala, is joining us on 23rd October 2021, 5.00 PM onwards, to share his expertise on robotic approaches in liver resections.
