A 60 years old man was diagnosed as a case of type 2 Diabetes mellitus. He was advised LSM therapy along with tablet metformin 500 mg per day. On the third day of treatment, he suddenly found himself unable to rise from bed. His son helped him and was unable to stand, in coordination in movement, severe headache and perspiration. Doctor was called, blood sugar was tested and it was 45 mgs%.

Doctor managed for hypoglycemia and patient responded well. The patient told the doctor that he was talking karela juice daily also along with treatment. "Should I take karela juice or not?", he asked. What are your comments and advice for this patient ?
