A 40-year-old software professional male patient came with a complaint of severe pain in the right foot on the lateral aspect since 3 days . Pain extending from the heal up to 4th and 5th metatarsal area. No history of fall, injury or sports trauma. He is well built and weighs 80 kgs.No fever presently and previous to the onset of pain. Routine X-ray was advised by me, nothing abnormal in both Ap and Lateral views.Ruled out irregular and tight fitting shoes as a cause. The patient is not diabetic or alcoholic.

He  leads a sedentary lifestyle and  does not seek exercise as a cause i.e long duration of walking and jogging. There is a family history of gout, his mother was gout pt. Pt on allopurinol, as his serum uric acid was 7 .However, he is irregular on medicine intake. The pain was quite severe and he was unable to weight bear himself on standing.
