Socially, individuals with intellectual disabilities face multiple challenges. Healthcare is one major concern in this regard, as these individuals are neglected in the society and the situation become worse when it comes to the sexual and reproductive healthcare. There are many barriers and they are not just limited to the adults with intellectual disabilities but also to the adolescent.
This article focuses on few important aspects of the sexual and reproductive healthcare in women with intellectual disabilities.
