An elderly male patient, gets a discharge from corporate hospital after about 10 days, with the diagnosis of fixator removal and ORIF for Fracture of his Right Tibia. Within 12 hours, the same patient again reports in the ER of the same hospital with complaints of pain abdomen and generalized weakness. The surgeon on call admits him for pain abdomen without getting past history or clinical examination. After investigations and knowing the details of the case, he concludes that patient is severely breathless and too sick hence it should be managed by the physician.

At this stage, all the three consultants showed hesitancy on their part to take the patient under their care as primary consultant.
