We all know that extraction is a surgical procedure and local anaesthesia can cause systemic toxicity. Then why: The extraction is not done in a surgical environment, i.e; like operating room? We don't have a  Pulse oximeter a nd oxygen cylinders in our clinic? The patients are allowed in their street clothes?

We are not advising patients to have all investigations done like ECG, Blood investigations, etc? The last question whether we can ask the patient to have HIV test? Please enlighten me.
