Current medical students are called as Millennials or the Net Generation. They enjoy learning about new technology through discovery, experiencing, and experimenting with it. They are more comfortable in image based environment than with classroom text.
Today’s traditional lectures do not include active, first-person, experiential learning whereas it is vibrantly present in new media technology. Thus, the rise in new media and serious games in education fits well with the Millennial medical students learning styles. What is your opinion, should video games be included in medical curriculum?
