Introduction: Cheek cancers (Bucco alveolar cancers) are very common in India due to the rampant habit of pan and Tobacco chewing and cigarette and bidi smoking. Most of the patients present in advanced stages of their cancer and require surgery and radiation for achieving acceptable local control. However, many patients have adverse outcome and develop recurrence despite full treatment. This study highlights the factors which can lead to poor outcomes so that these factors are kept in mind by treating oncologists.
