Synopsis Clinical evidence suggests that the single-dose of misoprostol appears to be an acceptable alternative to a multiple dose regimen for cervical ripening before the induction of labor in multiparous women with  an unripe cervix. The present study evaluated whether multiple doses of misoprostol are needed to expedite vaginal delivery in a patient with an unripe cervix.
