A patient came to me today. She has two daughters (8 yrs and 4 yrs old) and wants a male baby. She says she wants to try for a baby after 2 years only. She knows about the possible side effects of all types of contraception like Cu-T causing uterine perforations, OCP and weight gain, not willing for any barrier contraception. Because of this she has already aborted almost 10-12 times, but all her abortions happen at around 1-2 months only according to her history as she did not bring any reports. She says all are spontaneous abortions.
I feel there is something fishy here. Now also she came with bleeding and passing fleshy pieces following tablet consumption for MTP at home. Could any experienced doctor guide me here. What am I supposed to do ethically? To be safe legally also.
