A 10 month old, severely malnourished child is admitted in my hospital. He was on bottle feed and breast feed since birth, his weight is 3 kg. We are trying to shift him from bottle feed to spoon feed but he does not close his mouth when he is given milk by spoon.

He sucks normally when on breast feed. He start coughing when any thing is given by spoon. What to do?
