Stethoscope: A short autobiography I am the stethoscope. A little over 200 yrs in age, perhaps a bit superannuated,  lying worthlessly, in some rusted tray of a ward, or hanging on the wall of a consulting chamber like an antique piece, I look back over all these long years, filled with nostalgia. I wonder if my life was worth the journey. Some refer to me in superlative terms and keep on coaxing me to tell my story for the sake of posterity. Hence, I have decided to submit to their wishes - “let thy will be done “.

Where should I start? It has been a long arduous journey of struggles, transformations, achievements, accolades and alas,  a painful gradual decline. I have silently watched my ascendance and a slow painful descent from the high platform of glory. If you have the patience to listen, let me begin from the beginning.
