At 5 months this baby boy presented with refusal to feed. Mild vomitings and irritability for few days. No fever was recorded during the episode. I suspected UTI and UR c/s grew enterococcus and was treated for 1 week completely. The symptoms subsided in 1 week of inj. amikacin. Then the baby did well till 1 week back.
Now, presented again with refusal to feed and mild fever. RPT ur c/s again grew enterococcus and improving on inj amikacin. This time USG KUB revealed 1 x 1 cm renal cyst in the right kidney in the upper pole. How to manage this case? Is cyst excision required or not? MCUG is required or not, to detect VUR or other pathology?
