Our old patient of cleft lip and palate recently came to us with recurrent throat infection. The baby is now a cute 4yr old girl from Bahrain who was successfully treated by Dr.Sunil Richardson for left side cleft lip and palate. Her recovery from those primary lip and palate surgeries was so comfortable that she is never distinguished as a cleft child in school or amongst peers. The faith and the bond they developed as patients with the staff and Dr.Sunil Richardsons brought them back to Richardsons Dental and Craniofacial centre with the complaint of recurrent throat infections.
On examination we found enlarged tonsils of both the sides. It was decided to perform a tonsillectomy for her after giving her a course of antibiotics to eliminate any active infection of the site.
