A 39-year-old man from a village in Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh, fell from the first floor of his house and got a 12-inch wooden stick piercing his eye socket. The patient lost his vision and was taken to a renowned government hospital in Visakhapatnam. Upon arrival, a team of doctors, including ophthalmologists, ENT specialists, neurosurgeons, and orthopedic surgeons, examined the patient using imaging techniques and laboratory tests. The imaging assessments revealed that the stick had penetrated the right eye and extended into the lower part of the brain. The medical team recommended surgery to remove the stick.
