Surgeons in Sharjah, UAE, have successfully removed a massive tumor from the orbit of the eye in a 58-year-old female patient. The patient first noticed a change in the size of her right eye 24 years ago. Over time, her condition worsened, particularly in recent months, when she began to experience vision loss and a feeling of heaviness around the affected eye. Following an ophthalmologist's recommendation, she sought the expertise of an oculoplastic surgeon and eye cancer specialist.

An MRI and CT scan revealed an oval intraconal lesion in the patient’s right orbit, indicating the presence of cavernous hemangioma, a common vascular tumor affecting the eyes.
