Surgeons at a Delhi hospital have successfully removed over 1,500 gallstones from a 32-year-old woman. The patient frequently consumed junk food and experienced bloating and a sensation of heaviness in her stomach. She regularly took antacids for the past three to four months to alleviate these symptoms. After enduring several episodes of recurrent pain in her right upper abdomen, which radiated to her back and shoulder on the right side, the patient consulted her family doctor. An ultrasound examination revealed that her gallbladder was filled with gallstones.

A team led by a laparoscopic surgeon removed all the gallstones from the patient.
