There is a strange trend I have noticed off late. Not sure whether to blame the greed of such doctors or utter stupidity of our patient community. Let us say, one Doctor X had good practice at one place. He leaves the said clinic and shifts to a different town/country. But, his trusted Chemist Y is still around. The Chemist Y can be a close relative or friend or aide of Dr X. Now, this Dr X practices on a surrogate basis through Chemist Y!
The patients come to Chemist Y to enquire about Dr X and this gentleman Y offers them consultation with Dr X through WhatsApp! Y messages complaints of patient to Dr X via WhatsApp. Dr X prescribes medications via retuen message. Y dispenses the medications and takes extra money from patient as fees for Dr X.
